Over 70 documents and artifacts relating to the history and culture of Da Nang city were presented to the Da Nang Museum on November 22 on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The selected artifacts – donated by agencies, organisations, researchers, and collectors in Da Nang – include documents, photos and items showing the evidence and aftermath of Vietnam’s war against the French colonialists and American imperialists, in addition to some antiques and old paintings.

The pieces will be used to diversify the museum’s displays and educate younger generations about patriotic traditions and local history.

The Da Nang Museum currently has more than 2,500 documents, photos and artifacts on display around its 3,000sq m exhibition space. The exhibits have been arranged by theme – Da Nang’s natural and social history, Da Nang’s history of revolutionary struggle and cultural characteristics of ethnic minority groups in Da Nang and Quang Nam.
