The 22nd Informatics Olympiad for Vietnamese students and the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM/ICPC) are both taking place at Da Nang’s Duy Tan University from 27 - 29 November.

This year’s Olympiad sees about 400 students from universities and colleges nationwide competing in specialised and non-specialised informatics, and the Informatics Olympiad Super Cup.

Meanwhile, another 255 Vietnamese students, along with 45 foreign students from Japan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia, are attending the ACM/ICPC.  The winner will represent Asia in the final round of the International ACM/ICPC in Russia’s Ekaterinburg in 2014.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, the Viet Nam Huawei Technology Company, and the Duy Tan University are launching a mobile application renovation contest this week.

In addition, the final round of “Creative Summer for Writing Open Source Software Applications” is being held in the city.  This competition has attracted teams from the Duy Tan University, the Ha Noi University of Engineering and Technology, and the Ha Noi FPT University.
